Why I created this practice

Becoming a mom was the most beautiful thing to ever happen to me... but it also came with a surprise: postpartum depression. It hit me hard, and it was humbling in ways I never imagined. What made it even harder was the fact that my support system was miles away — my family lived 14 hours away, and my husband was doing his best to support me on his own.

And that’s when I realized something: the struggle of trying to do it all — work, raise kids, be the perfect wife, keep the house clean, cook, and somehow make time for me — was REAL. It was exhausting. For 10 years of marriage, I felt the constant pressure of "mom guilt" and the overwhelming weight of expectations, many of them self-imposed.

Then, it hit me: There just aren’t enough therapists out there who break down the fourth wall and get real with clients. I mean, how many times have you heard a therapist say, “Hey, I feel that way too?” Not many, right? But here’s the thing: I started to notice something powerful when I started to appropriately self-disclose to clients — they felt a sense of relief. When they realized that even therapists feel overwhelmed, it was like a weight lifted off their shoulders.

So, I decided to create Mindflow Mindcare Counseling — a place where women (and yes, men too!) can be real about their struggles. It’s time we stop pretending that we can do it all without falling apart. Life is overwhelming, and the expectations society puts on us (and that we put on ourselves) are often downright unrealistic.

Let’s work through your past, unpack where those expectations came from, and tackle your daily stressors. We’ll build coping skills, restructure your thoughts, and work toward real change — not just the kind of change that looks good on Instagram, but the kind that truly transforms your life.

Because you deserve to feel supported, understood, and empowered. Let’s take the first step together. 🌿✨
